Roll over an existing reading list

  • You can roll over an existing reading list for use in other units. 
  • You can roll over a list from either the original canvas unit or from the new Canvas unit.
  • If you were not a collaborator on the list to be rolled over, you will need to email LibOnlineReadings.HQ@acu.edu.au for assistance.
  • Short on time? You can ask the library to roll it over for you by filling in the Leganto reading list form

WarningReading lists can only be rolled over once the unit/teaching period has ended.

Roll over from the original Canvas site

  1. Start from the unit in Canvas that has the reading list you want to roll over.
  2. Click on the ellipsis (...) next to List info and select Rollover list from the drop-down menu.
  1. Edit the list name, update the teaching period and remove the (Rolled Over) suffix.
  2. A warning message appears which relates to Shareable links. If you are rolling over a reading list with Shareable links, please read the messages.
  3. Click Create list.
  4. Update the resources in the rolled over list as required and add any necessary notes or tags.
  5. When you are finished, click on Send list to library and publish.

Roll over from a new Canvas unit

Step one

  • Start from the new Canvas unit and click on the Reading List tab. 
  • Details of the unit appear showing CRN, year, teaching period and unit name.
  • Click on Rollover list.

NoteIf you don't see the correct information about your unit or the roll over button does not appear on the page, email the Library at LibOnlineReadings.HQ@acu.edu.au

Step two

  • My lists page will show all the reading lists where you have collaborator access.
  • Click on the Rollover list option at the right of the reading list name.


Note

If the reading list you require is not listed, you can search for it using Search from the top menu.

  • Select All lists from the drop-down menu. 

Under My lists, change from My lists to All lists.

  • Search for the reading list. 

If the reading list still does not appear, it may mean that you do not have collaborator access. Contact us for assistance or email LibOnlineReadings.HQ@acu.edu.au.

Step three

  • Click Rollover list.

  • Edit the list name, update the teaching period, and remove the (Rolled Over) suffix.
  • A warning message appears which relates to Shareable links. If you are rolling over a reading list with Shareable links, please read the messages.

  • Click Create list.

Step four

  • Update the resources in the rolled over list as required and add any necessary notes or tags.
  • When you are finished, click on Send list to library and publish.
