There are many sources of eBooks and many devices on which to read them. Many apps and software have been developed to help eBooks and ereaders communicate. Some of these include:
- Adobe® Digital Editions software allows you to download and purchase digital content, which can be read both online and offline. You can transfer copy-protected (DRM) eBooks from your personal computer/laptop to other computers or devices. ADE also supports industry-standard eBook formats, including PDF and EPUB.
This software is required to read some ACU ebooks offline and on devices.
- Adobe PDF Reader Adobe Reader software is the global standard for electronic document sharing. It is the only PDF file viewer that can open and interact with all PDF documents
- Bluefire Reader App Bluefire Reader is a free app available for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. This app allows you to view DRM PDFS and epub formats.
On Apple devices, BlueFire and Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) must use the same Adobe ID.
- Calibre Calibre is free downloadable software that will sync to your e-device and convert, organize, and generally help you to manage your eBook collection. It allows you to convert eBook formats to read on different e-reader devices.
