EndNote Online (formerly EndNote Web) is the online counterpart to EndNote desktop.
If you are using an EndNote Online account you will need to activate the X8 version from desktop EndNote. Go to Edit > Preferences > Sync > Enable Sync > OK (to update or create your two-year EndNote online account to get the latest features).
Go to https://www.myendnoteweb.com to access or sign up for an account.
The EndNote iPad app enables researchers to access, edit and share their research materials from any location. Download the app from iTunes (charges apply).
You can synchronise your EndNote library with the References in your EndNote Online library.
The Sync process is always initiated from EndNote desktop.
The Sync process automatically synchronises both sets of References so you will have identical Groups and References in both EndNote and EndNote Online. Group Sets will not be created in EndNote Online during the Sync process.
This includes all data changes to references (including file attachments). For example, if you add or remove references and/or PDF files in EndNote, then those changes are updated in EndNote Online and vice-versa.
The Sync process includes updates and additions to groups in both libraries. For example, if you create and add references to a new group in EndNote, then you will see this group in EndNote Online the next time you run the Sync process.
Sync Preferences
