Help yourself - Databases & Subject Guides

What are Library databases?

Library databases are electronic collections of resources.

ACU Library subscribes to many databases giving you access to full-text journal articles and other scholarly resources (such as images, newspapers, and video databases) not freely available online. Library databases can be general (covering many disciplines) or discipline-specific (e.g. a psychology database detailing articles from thousands of psychology journals).

Databases can contain:

  • Journal articles
  • Streaming videos
  • Cases and legislation
  • Images
  • Newspaper articles
