Help with database searching

Most databases have their own online Help screens. Ebsco's are particularly comprehensive, and include online tutorials as well as help screens and technical support contacts.

Online Help now includes product tutorials. These four-to-five minute tutorials guide you through the features of your EBSCO products, including EBSCOhost. Tutorial subjects include Basic Search, Advanced Search, Browsing Publications, and using the Personalization feature.

To view a tutorial, click the linked tutorial name. The tutorial will open in a new window. To begin the tutorial, press the Play button.

Choosing a database

There are a great many online resources available to search. Which databases you choose to search will depend on your topic and type of material you are looking for. The Library has subject guides which will point you towards key databases for your subject area.  There is almost always going to be more than one place to look for information, so, if you are having difficulty finding enough information in one place, try another.
